Folding Operator – Chippenham

Location: Chippenham Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Candidates may be required to work outside of these hours, especially during busy periods.

Role Objectives: The primary purpose of this role is to operate an MBO Combination folder, ensuring that all work is produced to a high standard of quality and performance with minimal waste and incidents of spoilage.

Key Responsibilities: As a Folding Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Organising the folder to ensure the machine/process runs efficiently throughout the shift, achieving optimal machine performance.
• Following Company planned maintenance programmes.
• Accurately following information on the works instruction ticket.
• Preparing materials for make-ready on machines.
• Identifying and highlighting any print or fold issues where applicable.
• Preparing elements in advance of the next job to ensure seamless change over between jobs is achieved.
• Adhering to standard operating procedures and identifying necessary changes to keep daily check sheets current in line with H&S requirements.
• Ensuring good housekeeping of the machine and surrounding area.

Key Competencies: To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous folding experience.
• Experience with the use of mechanical handling equipment and pallet turners.
• The ability to use a computer and capture data.
• Capability of working at a high standard, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
• The ability to organise and schedule your own time and activities to monitor progress and stay on top of your workload and company targets.
• To be flexible, reliable, and trustworthy.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
