Our client are looking for a Concrete Plant Batcher to work alongside a dedicated and collaborative team based in Melksham, focused on delivering high-quality concrete production and exceptional service. As a Concrete Plant Batcher, you will oversee and manage operations at the plant. This pivotal role requires a candidate with great attention to detail, technological proficiency, and organisational skills. Whether you have experience or are eager to learn, they will provide the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Run the concrete plant, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Operate and monitor the computer batching system to load lorries accurately.
• Plan concrete loads according to the schedule and optimise routes for returning drivers.
• Perform morning plant checks, regular inspections, and compliance checks to maintain standards.
• Handle basic maintenance and greasing of plant machinery.
• Prepare moulded cubes for testing and complete associated paperwork.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and liaise with customers regarding timings and updates.
• Maintain a clean, safety-compliant workspace and adhere to health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid driving licence (essential).
• Strong attention to detail is a must.
• Proficiency with technology, especially for operating computer systems.
• Mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills (advantageous).
• Familiarity with Melksham and surrounding areas (preferred).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 50+ hours per week, being the first in and last out each day.
