Class 2 HGV Driver – Southampton
£17.79 per hour | Monday to Friday 

We’re looking for Class 2 HGV Drivers, including newly qualified drivers, to join a well-established company in Southampton on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to build your driving career and secure a permanent position with a reputable employer.

Pay & Hours

• Pay: £17.79 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 5:00am
• Average Shift Length: 10 hours
• Contract: Temp-to-Perm

The Role

As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you’ll be responsible for:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to retail stores.
• Delivering chilled and frozen goods.
• Unloading deliveries using cages and a powered pump truck.
• Safely manoeuvring heavy cages, with some manual handling involved.
• Delivering to a variety of locations, including some with restricted access.
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

To be considered, you’ll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A Digital Tachograph Card.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Confidence with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment.
• A reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach.
