If you enjoy problem‑solving, working collaboratively, and improving processes, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact.

About the Role

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for converting demand signals into feasible production schedules, ensuring alignment with capacity, material availability, and customer requirements. You will manage work orders within the ERP system, monitor schedule adherence, and work closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics to resolve constraints and protect delivery performance.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement activities, support engineering changes, and help maintain a safe, positive, and high‑performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Create and maintain production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Manage work orders in the ERP system (D365), including creation, release, rescheduling, and closure.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and escalate risks or deviations.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages or capacity constraints.
  • Maintain accurate planning master data (lead times, routings, planning parameters, item master data).

Performance & Process Management

  • Track production performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Support WIP management and controlled work order release.
  • Maintain planning KPIs and visual management tools.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support engineering change implementation by reviewing work orders, stock, and scheduling impacts.

Teamwork, Communication & Culture

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Communicate planning changes, risks, and impacts clearly and promptly.
  • Support new team members through knowledge sharing.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety‑focused working environment.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and unsafe behaviours.

Personal Development & Accountability

  • Take ownership of your performance and development.
  • Embrace change with a positive, solution‑focused attitude.
  • Contribute to team engagement and recognise colleague achievements.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree‑level education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing supply chain, production planning, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of Lean methodology and MRP principles.
  • Experience using ERP systems (D365 desirable).
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to resolve scheduling or resource conflicts.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who is:

  • Organised, analytical, and detail‑focused.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and driving improvements.
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
