Transport Supervisor (Temp Ongoing)

Pay Rate: £13 per hour
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 (42.5 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team on a temporary ongoing basis. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

This role requires previous experience in a transport environment and strong computer skills, as you will be handling compliance records, planning schedules, and liaising with customers.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Assist the Transport Manager with operational planning and vehicle/driver compliance
✅ Oversee site health and safety standards
✅ Support investigations and disciplinary proceedings in collaboration with HR
✅ Conduct accident investigations and report findings
✅ Arrange driver inductions and ensure smooth onboarding
✅ Maintain customer communication and manage service expectations
✅ Take operational responsibility in the Transport Manager’s absence

Requirements

✔ Previous experience in a transport/logistics environment (essential)
✔ Strong computer skills (MS Office, transport management systems, etc.)
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
