General Waste Operative – Salisbury

We are looking for a General Waste Operative for our client based in Salisbury.

Key responsibilities:

–          Following health and safety guidelines to ensure smooth day-to-day operation

–          Maintaining the cleanliness of the local area

–          Meeting daily waste collection targets as part of a team

–          Collecting waste containers and bins onto the vehicle, disposing of the waste and retuning the containers back afterwards.

–          Communicating effectively with team members to ensure a speedy and safe operation.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

–          No experience required, full training and inductions are provided

The ideal candidate must …

–          Have the ability to lift heavy loads, including multiple waste bins

–          Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions

–          Be able to work as part of a strong team

–          Have good customer service skills, and be comfortable with conversing with members of the public

–          Be happy to walk long distances

–          Have a positive attitude

More about the role:

–          Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays available during bank holiday weeks)

–          07:00 – 15:00

–          Paid at £12.20 per hour

–          Temporary ad-hoc work. We will get your availability week by week to send to the client, then they will return to us with the days they require you for. This could be anything from 0-5 days per week

–          Opportunity to go permanent with the client

–          Full PAYE

–          24 hour on-call service
