As 2023 draws to a close, we’ve been reflecting on the amazing personal and professional growth our team has enjoyed this year and thought we would share some of the highlights as we’re so proud of our team and how hard they have worked to achieve some impressive milestones…
From apprentice to fully-fledged recruitment consultant
Lauren has been crushing it this year, blazing through the ranks from apprentice to fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant after achieving her NVQ and REC Level 3 certificate. If that wasn’t enough, she also passed her driving test, way to go Lauren!
House moves
We are thrilled to celebrate two of our Senior Recruitment Consultants, Hayley, and Jamie-Leigh, on buying their first homes! This marks a significant step in their personal journeys, and we are delighted they have been able to realise this goal, congrats!
Qualifications
Hats off to our Business Support Manager Jo for passing her REC exam. Jo has been part of the business for many years and is pleased to underpin all she has learned with a recruitment qualification, good job Jo!
Hitting targets
Our 4-day work week trial has empowered our team to pursue some new hobbies this year. Kim, our Management Accountant, has taken full advantage of this opportunity, with her dedication to accuracy extending beyond the balance sheet, as she’s taken aim at a new challenge: archery! Since September, Kim secured her Indoor Archery Level 2 certificate, and earned two 252 awards at both 20 and 30-meter distances, and has her sights set on hitting 40 meters soon! Just like a well-drawn arrow, her precision in her role hasn’t wavered and she’s consistently hit the mark throughout the year as she continues to be an invaluable asset to the company. Well done, Kim!
New tech
This year, we’ve been actively investing in developing our operational efficiency. In August, we implemented a new CRM system to streamline our processes, enhance our payroll and optimise our client and candidate management. We are deeply grateful to our Operations Director Shane, and Jo, our Business Support Manager, for their immense support in this transition. From navigating technical hurdles to keeping spirits high, they both went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and efficient rollout of the new system.
We’re excited about the further enhancements this change will deliver during 2024.
New website
We were thrilled to launch a fresh new website in July, which has been a significant upgrade from our previous one, boasting a more robust job search function for our candidates and enhancing the experience for our users. After a fresh lick of paint, we’re super pleased with how it turned out! Many thanks to Brad who was instrumental in the design and implementation of the new website, it was a big undertaking and he put in a lot of work to bring this project to life. Well done!
Cute arrivals
Congratulations to Hannah who welcomed her baby daughter, Beatrice, to the world this autumn. Hannah has shown such tenacity throughout her pregnancy as she settled into her new role in our Amesbury branch as a most valued member of the team.
New starters
2023 welcomed some fantastic faces! Josh joined Chippenham’s driving & industrial desk alongside Hayley and together they have been smashing it this year.
Liam has smoothly slotted into the Amesbury branch, supported by Natalie, who continues to shine, and Branch Manager Meg, who’s dedication and support has kept the branch running like a well-oiled machine!
Chloe also joined us this year, and her bubbly personality and enthusiasm has brought a brilliant energy to the healthcare desk alongside Megan, who continues to be a pillar of knowledge and support.
We’re excited to watch their recruitment skills develop in 2024!
Pawsitive news
Pets play an important role in the lives of many of our team, and their unconditional love is what keeps many of us sane after a tough day at work. Our finance Manager Helen shared with us her greatest success this year, which she says is the recovery and rehabilitation of her beloved brown Labrador, Teddy (now nicknamed Ted the Titanium Dog), after his knee replacement he’s endured a long road of recovery but thankfully he is now much fitter!
